Balance Yoga Certification: 200 Hour Program
A modern approach to yoga training
Our Approach
Balance Yoga is a non-dogmatic yoga that emphasizes balance,
modern day fitness, personalization and holistic health. The Balance
Yoga Certification course meets the requirements for the Yoga
Alliance's 200-hour registered yoga teacher and prepares teachers
with a combination of theoretical and practical training.  Upon
completion, students will be prepared to teach a classical Hatha yoga
class or Power Yoga class.  

We offer the training in three formats:

Upcoming Dates: Training consists of modules A+B
Cost: $2000
  • June 23-27, 2008, Module A Week-long Intensive, 8:00-5:00 p.m.
  • July 14-18, 2008, Module B, Week-long intensive, 8:00-5:00 p.m.
  • September 1-6, 2008 Module A Week-long Intensive, 8:00-5:00 p.m.
  • October 6-11, Module B, Week-long intensive, 8:00-5:00 p.m.

Why Balance Yoga Certification?
  • No previous teaching experience required
  • Non-dogmatic, flexible approach
  • Access to a variety of styles of yoga (classical Hatha,
    Ashtanga, Bikram, Kundalini, restorative, power, Vinyasa flow,
    Thai Yoga)
  • Strong emphasis on teaching, alignment and safety
  • Opportunities for advanced training (500-hour advanced yoga
    training and 1000-hour yoga therapist program)

The yoga course covers and includes:
  • Principles of total wellness and fitness
  • Yoga history and philosophy
  • Yoga asana, breathing and meditation techniques
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Teaching methodology, alignment and sequencing
  • Professional considerations, safety, liability and continuing
    education
  • Holistic health and nutrition
  • Yoga teaching written and practical exam
